I’ve been watching the places where you play
Been seeing the things that you do
Over a slow and oh so bitter cold rolled up cigarette
Each time you smile on over at me for a quarter to three
Off on home with us now
Where we will wait for your mother to cook all kinds of good and sumptuous things
Bake brown bread and your favourite cherry scones – there sure ain’t no place like home
And I will wait on you a little bit more ’til you are cleaned up and ready to go all over again
For a half past seven
Mass – where you will be unassumingly forced to read from our bible of hope
Only be sure to remind yourself to loosen our harrowing rope in a place where there seems to be no such disastrous scope – namely inside of your very own head
Tell me, how have you been settling in of late?

Share and Enjoy !
