You took me in as one of your own, utterly willing to let this neglected dog chew his bone
To let me see all of these things I dreamed of seeing
When we went down by the river and flapped our arms about the place, waxed naked lyrical
I will always get to remember your face, no taste for all of the wrong things momentarily occuring outside of our pretty little bubble of hope
Tie a rope to me if needs be whenever things do start to turn all kinds of sour
And sit with me by the side to pick away at these all too telling pieces of your daisy flower all over again
A time when we smiled unbeknownst to anyone else
