Too much pressure to bear
A face full of tears
Loved-ones – oh so near yet oh so far away…
It really was high time she put paid
To this God awful atrocity
Placed down her hand, unopened the jar
Relying on too many powder pills to count
They stare on over at her – laughing and cackling
Enticing her in
An unimaginable, unfathomable monstrosity growing up inside of her own head
Wasteful days, placated against her utter will to a soiled and sullied bed
Time and time again
WHAT SIN DID SHE COMMIT!?
Dread followed by more and more of the same
WHO THE F**K DO YOU BLAME!?
Cannot seem to find the intricate, ever-winding foundation, unable to sound out what it is exactly that managed to wind her down
Right down to the ground
A penny for your thoughts of turmoil, this girl really ought to know better
But it’s terribly difficult to see the forest for the trees when you’re crumbling all over, forever and a lifetime looking over your shoulder
Hacked at and sat upon, only ever relatively sober
Not your fault
The devil comes along uninvited, trimming your each and every limb
Taking you down to your knees
Breath, goddamnit, BREATH
It’s all I can ask of you right now…so, PLEASE
