The harshest surroundings known to any man
On a knife-edge a walk in the park in rather simple comparison
Heady days when bullets ruled the absolute mafia roost, a blasphemeous toast by all and sundry
No such necessity for truth
Plunders all across this fair land of ours
They just poured on in, trimming the life right from us
Drugs added to the mix
Before too long we utterly forced to up-sticks
Leave it all alone
Sure we miss home, but far more inclined to miss the lavish dining
Wine – namely Chateau Marmont – on a once oh so steadied rock
A shock so soon as ‘they’ drove an aformentioned bullet right through our particular pulpit
Seems even the ‘best’ fall down sometimes
