Eyes about to fall on over, too many wired-to-the-moon times to try and keep alive
My mind on absolute over-drive
One second… then so much as two
Freeze-frame snooze
Car lights ahead heavily intent on holding my every last focus
If only for awhile
Almost home, we smile – least I try – a mile wide
Kids bouncing about all too energetically, everything setting itself on up to come crashing down
Disguised curtains suddenly strung open
And one car begins to spin before catching mid-air, happy faces snared entirely
You right there… you get to see it all happen
My eyes a mile wide now upon realising the monstrosity that unfolds before me, car horn explodes
I hope to see you soon again but right now I need to try oh so goddamn hard…
Save my children, please!
