Yeah, you’d be mad for sure. Not to wanna hug the utter bloody shit out of it all and go at it hammer and tongs. You’d be even madder not to do all of the things that you might’ve always like to’ve done all the while. You’ll decide how much you need to rest, to sleep, to meditate (this is more important that I am even able to realise right now), to read (now, THAT’S perhaps another kind of meditation altogether for me). Also, taking notes on any given day is fine, about how I might be feeling, but all in all it’s a self-kindness which will NEED to be instigated like crazy. Fight fire with fire, right? As in, crazy with crazy. The latter being the OCD of the two crazies. You’re… gonna be… lost for what to think about sometimes because of the sudden silence of mind. So, as it turns out you can actually have your very own brand new thoughts about things, etc. That’s… okay. It has to be. The narrative around my OCD, on my side of things, needs to be utterly positive. However, even if I am being as positive as possible, which I think I naturally am as a person anyway, it is still a mental imbalance against my utter will of brain, so I need to do more than the average person with all these things. But… you do it. You do the perhaps impossible. At least up til now it’s been just that thing, for me anyhow. To ‘turn off’ or… manage at really turning down the OCD imbalance in your brain. It’s illogical but it also needs to be… brought to task and treated for what it is 😊
