There’s this belief that it all surely must be horrible to have ocd and while for a large part, and certainly for me, it has been just that, there’s other things to try and portray about it, too. Not about being extra strong or extra anything, really. But that… the people who hold strong with you- those are the people who at least try and understand when there is nothing whatsoever to understand except for a discombobulated brain on the sufferer’s part. And, truly, minus these kinda people it’s a very, very eerie and lonesome place to be. Imagine going through all of this stuff and, then, for you to get better and better whilst also learning to handle it as best you can over time, only to find that there’s no-one left. Understandable given what many go through with it and the length of time it eats up with your relationships, working, etc. And the frustration that surely envelops loved-ones, too, must be so, so hard and heartbreaking. However, I personally seemed to, thank Chriiiisssssst, get rather lucky on that particular score. And that’s what you’d wish for any sufferer of anything, really. Yeah, you’ve been left with a strange and utterly unique mindset as a result of this… thing, but it’s these people who you look to utterly lift up on your shoulders with tender time because, well, without them you’re not you, not even in the slightest. How can you not adore them for their part in lifting you up on their shoulders in the first place?! 😊 💓
