A wonderful week in Spain for Ross’s cousin’s wedding. Great fun and had an amazing time with her family, who all seem to really have taken to me these past few visits now. Love the pace of life over here and love that Ross can get home to see her family and friends. Love that girl. Always there for her. Always. Now. As for the ocd part in it all…. Yup, of course it persisted and of course it made it almost impossible even at the best of times. Fed-up with its crippling ability to sideswipe my mind entirely. And at the wedding, with a huge crowd in-tow, it wreaked havoc all the more. Something about crowds, just won’t let my mind rest whatsoever. It’s like I said before in an earlier post, that with ocd (and particularly with mine) it needs to be ‘cured’ to a suitable extent. Otherwise? Well, I’m just watching my life happen before my very eyes whilst I simultaneously get caught-up in “one more rumination should make it all OK… .” land, and that is no land to be sharing your life with whatsoever. I’ll keep going, keep doing what I do. But, my god, how much I’d just love, love, love to get to be able to properly take the Spanish language onboard, etc. No pressure, just that… I want to be able to speak with these lovely people whenever I do come over with Ross again for a visit. No more thinking. No more letting it take me away from everything. I’m still good to go. Always was, always am and always, ALWAYS will be 😊 I can’t be angered at having ocd anymore. What I can do is turn an undeniable mental illness into… something rather wonderful. Oh, wait! I already appear to have done this… with both the continuing progression of the scribbles and in being an absolute Grade-A mother effing Warrior of the mind🤷‍♂️
