You’re ignoring everything your brain’s been taught. You’re… trusting in your own hot wired entirely mind and its ability to drag itself kicking and screaming from this ocd mess. You’re achieving, quite frankly, the utterly impossible by continuing on. That’s a given. But… you have to pretty much do the unthinkable if you are actually going to live very well with this particular disorder. And it has to be very well, for me. No in-betweens with this thing anymore. You can wish and wish and wish for it to get better and show people what is actually happening to your mind and all of the time. You can… feel extremely content in knowing how things work and how to approach them as well as, perhaps, any person you know can possibly do whilst, also, you might simultaneously feel mentally bombarded. That’s the getting better part, too. And you can most certainly trust your mind, however uncertain that may seem, and even at the most difficult of times because, guess what, it’s just a disordered brain and for a very, very long and arduous time… and you’re utterly unique and intelligent as a result of it. It’s… it’s preposterous what happened. Enough balls were dropped over the years regarding the whole eventual diagnosis, etc. that I could fill a whole football stadium with the damn things ten times over 🤷‍♂️ You’re not angry, though. You’re not anything, really, right now other than being utterly adamant on improving this for all ocd sufferers in the mind rub, as well as yourself 💪
