She lost her only child, her one chance at becoming a brand new mother taken in the blink of an eye
All in a ferociously abrupt instance, ungodly
Before too long she found herself trying to tie up loose ends by prying into other people’s lives
A young mother holding her daughter’s hand, while they took to that mammoth slide for the very first time
Sublime, maybe, but on realising the girl to be of an equal age she was met with a certain degree of underlying rage
Erupting, interrupting
She settled herself, hoping to get this one moment in her life just right
Volcanic, almost but not quite
A pedestrian smile
