How do you truly turn a mental-illness into an out-and-out plus? Well, you don’t and… you do, I guess. Hmm… maybe you try at being all that you can of yourself HOWEVER difficult your mind gets caught up in it all? Maybe you do all of the stuff you wanted to do anyway and try and make it feel as close to normal-thinking as possible? Maybe by being… bold and adventurous and UTTERLY trusting in a mind that, for so very long, has been impossible to trust, really? By… trusting that your brain IS IN FACT BOTH SIGNIFICANTLY AS WELL AS PROFOUNDLY IMBALANCED amidst a severely upsetting and, what-is-more, highly distorting mental-illness and still proceeding with as much panache of endeavour as you truly can muster together. TIMES-A-THOUSAND. Maybe by… being increasingly yourself, even when being you really does feel like it has utterly zero left to put in. Zero left to give to that particular cause called OCD. You will be tired, of course you will. Tired like a professional athlete gets tired, only obviously much more so inside of your brain, your head, your mind. And you will be beyond mentally overcome many a morning-time with the loudness of imbalance that is OCD happening, but what you also do do is you get yourself together again and again, like you always have done, really. One foot in front of the other, and you grab that shower and you… shoot for the stars when, really, you probably have no real business whatsoever in doing such a thing what with this mental illness along for the ride. You love yourself unconditionally and TO THE FUCKING MOON because that thing will most probably count a million times more than the usual meaning of, say for instance, a mother loving their child unconditionally. Even if the mistakes you make are really and rarely very few of them of your own by thoughtful design. You still need to be responsible for yourself however hard that thing becomes. One condition, though, and perhaps even above all else: keep smiling, even when smiling seems akin to an almost impossible thing to do. And be sure-as-shit to let yourself feel down, let yourself feel overcome, feel everything. And definitely, DEFINITELY LET YOURSELF REST, however long a time you might need to rest for. You did more right than you will ever really be able to truly understand. That is a barefaced fact like few others and it really does make you realer than real. Real to the bone. Even if you didn’t want to have to feel an out-and-out need nearly all of the time to do EVERYTHING just right. Ever. Own It ALL! Because you AND YOURS have worked way too damn hard to do anything other than JUST THAT THING. And sure it’s what makes things feel literally like a thousand times harder for you inside of your mind but you do it anyway because, well, rumour has it you’re actually a fairly decent person and you must chase that thing too. Yes, indeed, you have broken the mould because you have marched through something which no-one should have to march through in the first place and you have in fact done it with utter panache of endeavour. Times a fucking THOUSAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ☺️
