I don’t think that what they have done is particularly all of that amazing to them, actually. I mean.. sure they’ve created something utterly beautiful, but they’ll also be unable to see that fact for themselves. Because they are immediately looking to create something even better in their eyes. I bet you most artists, musicians, etc. won’t have even listened or paid much attention to their old stuff. And if they do.. they’ll want to immediately tear it up. To them it understandably won’t be any good. Or good enough.. anymore. Strange thing, I reckon, really. Others might be blown away by certain aspects of their world and yet they just won’t be able to capably see it for themselves. That’s the whole… feeling as though they are an imposter. Imposters are the best. They’re humble and not necessarily by choice. Do artists seek fame and fortune? Nah, I think for the most part they seek… understanding maybe. And outside of the art, too. Because, really, it is all of them placed on a page, canvas, in a song, etc. It is literally every element and angle of their minds and hearts at work. Caught in a sense of freezeframe. Only, in the end, they don’t actually get to want to understand it. Or simply can’t. So, yeah, perhaps certain artists are progressing much faster than many other people. Many artists more than other artists, too, of course. To get to stick a mic. in the studio of a world-class artist, or to even be able to hear their every next thought… I actually bet it’d be fairly silent. After all, stream-of-consciousness is automatic and not particularly pieced together in a thoughtful instance, per se.
