I think anyone, with or without a mental illness, really needs to do one thing. To look after their own brain and how their actual brain works, or doesn’t work, when it comes to their mental illness. For me that is OCD, and I’ve to do just that thing. To look after my own. I can explain it ‘til red in the face and time again but I know, from all of the experience of doing just that thing, that it only ever leaves my mind more and more confused and enthusiasms the imbalance all of the more. I have to understand, truly, that that isn’t my job, not at all, actually, to feel any sort of need to explain it to others what I go through exactly. It is, however, my job to keep on top of my mental illness as well as I possibly can, which I have always, always done, just not to the extent of as good a positive mental outcome as I’d have really hoped for at this stage in proceedings. Needed for, really. 😊
