I fell in-love with something so peculiar
On a bus to absolutely nowhere when all of this occurred
Delicious no doubt, albeit rather ridiculously absurd
But there really was no returning; swarming at a million miles an hour
Disarmed completely, oh so steady feet; her peripheral security standing to utter attention
When I crept on in, a smile and just one word would never, ever turn out to be enough
Tough, seems you drew the short straw all over again!
Why not sit for a while, thaw that lonesome smile
Right back to your pen – the only place where fiction will ever really feel like reality
Admit it though, she did indeed appear rather ghostly
Ghastly, in fact
Never, ever feel the necessity to ignore those track-marks
