When you are trying to calm an imbalanced brain, whatever the fallout in consequences- especially on a mental note and with OCD -you need to just follow the professional and learned instructions as to what to do. You need to, as a sufferer of said mental illness, let the intrusive thoughts(the imbalanced brain searching for a comfortable setting and all owing to the alarming level of false anxiety) be there. It is in fact the only way to work best with the illness. That is incredibly difficult, actually. And certainly an unfair mindset to have been forced by your very own imbalanced brain to live with. However, as I say, it’s an imbalance at the core and this needs to be accepted as best a sufferer can manage and, also, for the sufferer to, again… LET THE INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS BE THERE!! That’s it. Take this next sentence from me and believe it above all else, please. These particular people are heroes on a level so extremely unimaginable that you really cannot even start to begin to comprehend. We do this because it is all we have to do to get ourselves to a far and much calmer mental setting. Yes, it is a thunderstorm inside of the mind, but it is also.. a blessing in disguise. No two ways. You work with it. Your brain is in pain too, so you let that very thing relax as best it also does utterly deserve to do. You’ve got this. You had this since your were eleven years of age, and it isn’t about what you have done amidst it all, etc. but, rather, about handling it for yourself in the long-run. I’m all in, always was ALL-IN. Mentally, yes! I am in fact what you might call an utter anomaly, for managing to withstand such a life-altering and mind-bending illness of the brain. My mind has always been mine. And, soon, my brain will get to be mine too 😊 😉
