I never thought that making her laugh could be so very instrumental in her development
I say development but I really mean saving
Turns out she spurned many a thing even before she ever met me
I somehow getting to seal her fate, right before it became too late
No sedation, no nothing
Just her and I – speaking, laughing through a near-critical demise
One time too many
A penny for your thoughts, and that is exactly what I did
Truth be told, I’m a millionaire up inside of my own head
For many reasons really
But it was her and her steely nature that mattered entirely
A fire in the belly finally ignited
Perhaps a little or a lot to do with an unborn child
Hand upon my shoulder, she turns to me and whispers: “I’ve made up my mind… I will be calling him Brian.”
