As a sufferer of OCD there really isn’t too much that I can do but for hanging in there time and time again. Relentless as can be. It really is out of this world for its debilitating nature, no two ways! I understand that. I accept that. I even respect that. And that’s it. That’s what you do as a sufferer. You continue on and do all of the things your mind has tried to do and learn from the past, hmm, three decades of toil, in my own instance anyhow. It’s petrifying and it’s definitely… out in a league of its own. Way, WAY out!! Again, no two ways about that thing. But for a sufferer to, say, finally get to even step away from the illness, even if only to a momentary extent, wherein they are actually almost able to recognise all that it is and does to their brain and mind in the first, second, third, fourth place, etc. is an extremely rare occurrence all on its own. That’s… extremely disheartening, for sure, for the sufferer. How could it not be that particular thing?? There’s a level of pride in living with this particular illness-of-the-mind, though, that I would have to argue will never, ever be matched for its strength and depth of mental resilience on the sufferer’s part. Possibly. You might not get to feel it most of the time for yourself as a sufferer such is the out-and-out all-encompassing nature of the disorder but it’s also something that you hang your hat on. ALL OF THE WAY FROM A-Z. Because, guess what? An OCD sufferer is actually something of a miraculous person by way of default, really. That’s just a given. However many ways you look at it. That is if you were actually able to look inside of the OCD mind for, let’s say, even an hour of a day. However… over-confident on our part that statement might get to sound to others, I really do not care… to care. A weird and, I guess you could also say, perversely wonderful and utterly undeniable fact that just cannot be denied to the bones of its being. Not even for a split-second. Not even for a mere-eager minute! However hard we ourselves might even try AGAINST OUR UTTER, UTTER WILL to disqualify that very fact for its whole wide worth inside of our quarrelling minds most of the damn time. I have OCD and I take it all on board. I live as well as I possibly can with it, always have done, and at any given time. Always give your all. Always… trust the utter shake-up occurring inside of your own mind. Yup, trust the fuck outta it!! However far-reaching inside of your mind it gets given the aforesaid all-encompassing nature of the illness. Today is Thursday 5th March and I was minding Saoirsh this morning as she’s been a little bit sick of late but here’s to hoping she gets to enjoy their little family break away to CentreParks (that’s definitely not how they spell it). 🤞 Chilling at home now watching Tottenham v. Palace on the telly and the evening is all mine ❤️ 💪 😊
