What I wish for every sufferer of OCD is this: that they get to live a life close to their truest, nearest and dearest values. That they can wake of a morning-time and smile an utterly earned smile and not have their day feel as though it’s once again on a rollercoaster of… almost emotions but not quite that thing either. To explain it is a waste of time unless of course you can somehow get your mind to the other side of it – the good side! Then, and only then, can a sufferer actually get to realise… yeah, that explaining its content on a daily basis really isn’t ever going to be understood. No medal, and that is fine, has to be. But the sufferer is a battlehardened individual in ways which can never really be comprehended, even by themselves. Yeah, it is an absolute rollercoaster ride of the mind and lends itself to a life of extremely mind-boggling and mind-pummeling mental… torture, but we continue on and not just because we have to but because WE WANT TO, GODDAMNIT! It is a helluva lot to take, is OCD, but we are all in and all of the time in fighting to keep our wits about us when, really, our wits are pretty much dangled on a knife-edge even at the best of times. We care and we want to feel like ourselves, of course we do! An extremely rare thing to occur in its own right is that very thing, though. That is the mental fight – from start to finish – with this particular thing and we get up and do it every single day for many, many reasons. None of it is done to anger or antagonize any other single person, we just want… a calm for our own minds. One way or another
