I guess, with a mental-illness as complex and perplexing for the sufferer as OCD, what you need to do is to do what you know you’re supposed to do and all of the time. Which I do. But as the imbalance is so greatly engrained and has my mind off-kilter in a radically distorted manner of both outlandish fear and worry and, often, the second I wake-up in the morning, what I need to do – extra – I feel, is to be okay with the brain and mind that I have to live with. And learn how to do that thing for myself as that is the most important thing. This has been hell-on-earth and I wanna get to me, and by that I mean the ‘me’ which has always proceeded, even with this crazy mental disorder of the brain. I know the score, and that’s what I gotta do. It’s… hard and it’s often-times just too much fear and distortion of the brain and mind for me, wherein, even if all is just happening outside of my mind like things happen, in that hijacked mind of mine I am taken to a place of inexplicably inescapable mental… limbo as well as total mental belief in that same brain and mind that… disaster is happening, will happen. And to stop it happening, and to stop it from happening or else! I don’t want to have to try and explain it or even question if I have it anymore. A reason I’m afraid to go to my doctor quite often, as well as many other reasons too. But I am, in-fact, mentally-ill and I do all that I truly can from day-one to now in living as well as I can with the OCD. But I can forget so very fast in my falling back into its imbalanced grasp. But, yeah, where I’ve gotten to with it, as in how it affects me and I still persist really might just be one of the most resilient and brave mental feats imaginable. I try like noone’s business. Even, often, I don’t know just how hard I try as I am stuck in shell-shocking brain-lock while also forever trying to think in a straight-line ❤️
