There are a lot of poems and, for me, for a lot of different people with different minds and different imaginations entirely. That definitely links in with, shall we say, the rather naive and off-the-cuff remark I once told my mother say back when I was was starting to figure this whole endeavour out: that you can in fact create a style of writing that appeals to everyone. Perhaps not.. right away but maybe, just maybe, in a roundabout way, inevitably and with time and tender judgment of said style. And probably some way a little big bit further down the line. Maybe it’s not all that naive, actually. But, rather, that I am a writer who has simply set the bar so outlandishly high for myself since the beginning that to ‘fall short’ in any way is still to remain above the rest.
